Narcissistic Abuse Recovery Therapist
in California & Arizona
You keep asking yourself what you did wrong —
but the problem was never you.
You got out. Or you're trying to. But somehow they're still living rent-free in your head — second-guessing your memory, doubting your own reactions, wondering if you were actually the problem.
You weren't.
What you're carrying is the aftermath of narcissistic abuse. The circular arguments that always ended with you surrendering. The way their anger became your fault. The exhaustion of walking on eggshells for so long that you forgot what solid ground felt like. That's not a character flaw. That's a nervous system that learned to survive someone who made the rules impossible.
The insight is there. You've probably read the articles, named the patterns, maybe even done therapy before. And still — you over-explain to people who aren't listening. You freeze when someone raises their voice. You lie awake replaying conversations, wondering what you could have said differently.
That's because understanding lives in your head. The survival response runs your body. That's what we change here.
My name is Cynthia Eddings. I'm a trauma and anxiety therapist in California and Arizona, and I specialize in helping people recover from narcissistic abuse — not just understand it, but actually feel free from it.
From the moment we begin, you'll experience what it's like to be in a calm space with someone who not only listens, but helps you make sense of what you've been through. Together we work with your nervous system — the part of you that's still braced for impact — meeting it with compassion and gently helping it stand down.
You'll learn to trust your own perceptions again. To let someone else's anger belong to them. To hear what your body has been trying to tell you all along.
We'll set goals together so the past stops running your present. You'll find your footing, rebuild your confidence, and get clear on who you are and what you actually want.
You've spent long enough doubting yourself. Let's talk.

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
Therapy that goes beyond understanding — into your body, where change actually happens.
Many of my clients have already done therapy. They know their patterns, they understand their history, and they're still abandoning themselves in hard conversations. Still over-explaining to people who aren't listening. Still lying awake at 2am with anxiety running the show.
That's because insight alone doesn't update a nervous system.
Together we work with the survival responses that are running your life — not to eliminate them, but to meet them with compassion, understand what they've been protecting you from, and gently help them stand down.
You'll learn to feel the signals your body is already sending. To pause where you used to react. To let someone else's anger be theirs.
This is somatic, parts-based therapy for adults in California and Arizona.

For the first time, I think ever in my life I have found someone who is able to know how I’m feeling. When I talk to Cynthia is like talking to a friend who’s known me all my life. I feel safe sharing my thoughts and feeling with her. She’s helped me with my anxiety and self-confidence. I didn’t know people like this existed. And I’m happy I’ve found her.
